Living a creative life artist farmer dreamer

The holiday hustle and bustle is almost behind us.

We have been blessed with sunny warm weather these last few days.

I felt like a snake on a rock sunning myself today.

I headed down the garden path to my meditation circle.

Buddyru and Betsy Beagle followed along.

Buddyru made it perfectly clear to Betsy, that she could come but she would have to walk behind him.

At the meditation circle I sat on the bench with Buddy at my side and turned my face to the sun and closed my eyes.

I meditated upon the things I have been feeling lately.

The warmth from the sun was so amazing and restorative today.

I opened my eyes and spotted the bird of prey fly overhead.

I wondered what he carried in his beak, and where he was heading?

Next week the excavator will be here turning our land topsy-turvy and the journey for the next chapter to our home and life will begin.

Next week a new year will arrive.  After a very difficult year, I’m looking forward to new beginnings.

I know there will be lots of ups and downs as we proceed towards our whole house renovation and addition.

I also know there will be all kinds of good cuddly feathery delights.  Why do I know this?

Mr. Awesome Cottage put this in the Christmas tree for me.

chicken in a tree

And this was under the tree. No not the cute little red cat, or the snowman bag.  The shinny round thing.

Yep, I got a chicken feeder! WHOOP! WHOOP!

And you know what that means!  My long-awaited dream to have chicken will be realized sometime in the future.

I hope you all will move into the new year safely and with peace in your hearts.

See you later, Bye!

Kim

You are going to love having chickens, hold them as much as possible when they are little and you will get to do it everyday after they grow up! They are so fun!

    1. Oh Karen, I am so looking forward to doing that very thing. Lots of cuddling and hopefully they will follow me around the yard while I am gardening – talking and pecking.

Does that “double” as a Quail feeder. Mark loves feeding the covey of quail we have on Pheasant Circle. Yes, we also have Pheasant. Smiling ….

    1. Whoop indeed – however, slightly delayed until all the dust and construction has settled. As much as I want to jump right in, I must wait there is so much going on at one time. I can’t wait to hold baby chicks in my hand!
