Kim of Red Dirt Farm and Studio

Welcome, I'm an artist/maker that lives on a small flower and chicken farm in Virginia. I’m an introvert that prefers to spend quiet time in nature observing and taking photos and painting scenes from our happy life. On our little farm, we grow flowers from seeds and gather fresh eggs from our sweet chicks. I run a small farm stand and Art Wagon on our property. I also have a mermaid heart that longs to be by the water. Sometimes I share things I cook and make and our trips to the sea. I hope you will say hello. xo Kim

Happy Friday!! This is The display Erika put together of some of my paintings available at @sweetartemporium in Palmyra. I took new work in yesterday it is a pleasure to work one on one with a business owner that cares so much about her artists and her community. A big shoutout for Sweet Art and Erika.

I am thrilled when someone purchases a piece from me and then takes the time to send me a photo of it in their space. Love this painting with the succulent. Thanks for sharing Dawn.

Frida Watching bird TV. Back in early may when she hatched with deformed legs and I was panic stricken that she wouldn’t be able to walk to now walking the top of the recliner and watching her favorite bird tv. It’s so good. She is starting to lose her baby voice with little bits of big girl vocals coming through. This is my happy. Look for the happy.

Some beautiful things all locally grown, harvested and handmade. All purchased at the art market on Sunday. Honey and bee pollen 🐝 from @gravelhilltoadsidehoney. Adorable crochet from Melinda Braid 🦉🦀. Pumpkin made from recycled styrofoam by Kap Stanfield. Heavenly lavender from @bellerockfarm - bliss 💜 🌿. Silver and amethyst pendant from The Enchanted Elm available at @sweetartemporium flowers from Red Dirt Farm. If you missed Sunday our next market will be Sunday December 12th mark your calendar! My heart is full of gratitude for all the wonderful folks that came out yesterday to the fall art market even if it was hot as blazes not fallish. It was a treat to meet new and old friends. It is especially meaningful to me to meet people that are out there quietly following me on social media. These are challenging times for sure being able to come together as a community for a few hours and put our cares to the wind is pretty darn awesome. Happy Monday all - thank you again!
