Sausage Dip

I made this recipe up after reading some similar recipes, so some of the ingredient amounts are a guess, and of course quite flexible for what you do and don’t like.  So easy and quick.  Each time I make it, it is a little different.

This is a very rich dip a little goes a long way – just sayin’ – so if you’re looking for a low-fat lite dip – this isn’t it!

Brown 1 lb of Sausage and drain.

In the still warm pan return the sausage and add – 1- 8 oz block of cream cheese.

1/2 – 1 cup heavy whipping cream – for as creamy as you like.

1/4 – 1/2 diced red pepper.

1/2 – 1 cup fresh shredded parmesan cheese – not that powdered stuff. – Again, as cheesy as you like – we like it cheesy.

Garnish with sliced green onions or chives – or omit if you like.

Serve with crackers,  Frito-scoops, crusty bread – or veggie sticks.

I used Jimmy Dean Hot sausage – use whatever brand and flavor you like.
